A space for the kingdom of darkness

Her mother hated her marriage, so she told her daughter that she should be a monk because “marriage was meaningless.” Her mother took her to the temple where she offered incense, fruit and paper money along with prayers. Her mother also took her to two ceremonies and had a monk perform a ritual over her. She could remember most things in her life clearly but could not remember these events at all.

She met a monk and they fell in love. He promised he would leave the temple in mid-life to marry her and she said “you are my beloved.” He gave her a buddha from Tibet and she bowed down and worshipped it, praying and burning incense. Years later, when she told him that he had become a Christian, he was furious. Whenever she would pray she felt nauseous and easily forgot her theological teaching. Her heart would beat faster whenever we would talk about this monk. She asked God why these things happened and God told her that he had done something to her in the temple and also that she had left a space for Satan in her heart.

She accused and forgave her mother for getting her involved in buddhism. She accused and forgave the monk for giving her the statute, and for having a sexual relationship outside of marriage,  and then rejected his claim on her to be his wife. She confessed and asked for forgiveness for being his sexual partner, for keeping the idol and worshiping it and then gave up her claim on him to be her husband. After this she asked God to break the tie with that monk, both as a monk and as a husband, to bind the emotions and to cleanse her both from the sexual and the spiritual defilement and God did.

Thoughts of him no longer cause her heart to race, praying no longer makes her nauseous and the next day her memory came back regarding the buddhist ceremonies. Now that God has revealed those memories, she can deal with them too. Piece by piece the iceberg cutoff until finally it is all gone. PRAISE GOD!
