Silver-tongued Devil

She was the hostess on the eighth floor of an international hotel in Seoul. All the businessmen ate their breakfast and had their evening cocktails in her lounge. I stayed at this hotel on that floor five times in one year and she had never once said anything, always focused on her customers, never speaking about herself. I was the only one in the lounge that morning and she took her mask off, saying “you’re not like those other men.” I asked what she meant and she said “you’re not a silver-tongued devil.” I asked what that was and she said “the other men smile and say nice things to my face, but when I turn my back they say very bad things about me, but you don’t do that,” and then she asked me “why?” I told her “I am a Christian man, so I don’t talk that way about women.” She told me her father was a pastor but she had turned away from her faith. Then she paused and said “I think I will go back to church.” So do you shine where you go? Does anyone even know you are His child? Shine brightly precious one. Someone’s soul or life is at stake.
